ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Scheduled to be Hosted by India during October and November 2023

Next Cricket world cup 2023 will be the 13th edition of World Cup Cricket and will be played entirely in India. Every fan waits for 4 years to witness the cricketing teams from all over the world fight over the single trophy known as the World Cup.

The top 8 teams of world cricket would get an automatic berth to the cup while the remaining 2 teams will be decided by a qualification round. This would mean that every test-playing nation may not feature in his tournament. The last time the country hosted this tournament in 2011 they emerged as champions becoming the first team to win the cup as hosts.

The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the men's Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by India in October and November 2023. This will be the first time the competition is held entirely in India.

In the year 2023, the tournament is set to return to the county where cricket is more than just a game. The world cup for 2023 will be hosted by India. This will be the first time that the country will be hosting the cup solely as in previous campaigns they acted as joint hosts. This tournament will have 10 teams fighting over the trophy. Cricket World Cup 2023 Final will be played on 26 November.

Three previous editions were partially hosted there – 1987, 1996, and 2011. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be played from 9 February to 26 March 2023; but, in July 2020 it was announced that the tournament would be delayed to an October–November window, with reports citing the disruption of the qualification schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  1. During the entire tournament, we will be having travelers from different countries support their teams. They love their teams as much as we love ours, so they do have the right to cheer up their teams On and Off the field. Kindly try to avoid any discord and enjoy the tournament with Sports Spirit.
  2. India always believes in “Atithi Devo Bhava” and that is the first introduction of India to the whole World. Kindly try your level best to maintain the spirit and help the foreigners to the best of your capacity.
  3. During the entire tournament, you may find some celebrity/familiar faces/foreign guests in the market, tourist spots, hotels, restaurants, and other public places. Please try to be hospitable and allow them their space freely.
  4. Safety is always a big concern to travelers. Being an Indian, it is our duty to cooperate with police and security personnel, avoid any lewd or racial remarks, help the guest with the required information, and try to make them feel safe and secure.
  5. Do raise your voice against any notorious person or group creating a nuisance, and try to report to the police if required.
  6. It is our country, and being a citizen, it’s our primary duty to be a wonderful host and give the best impression to the international community.
  7. Do not Litter. Maintain Neatness & Cleanliness everywhere so that the message of “swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is globally spread.

As with the previous edition, the 2023 World Cup will feature ten teams. The main route for qualification is the 2020– 2023 Super League tournament. From the thirteen competitors in this tournament, the top seven sides plus the hosts (India) will qualify for the World Cup.
