C- CAT has three sections (A, B, C). A candidate can opt for either one paper (Section A) or two (Section A and B) or all the three test papers (Section A, B and C). The candidate can appear only for that specific test paper as per the category of the courses opted by him/her while filling the online application form.

More than 300 companies visit the C-DAC campus all over the country in each Campus Placement Programme.

What is the help extended to the students for placements?
Placement support is provided to the students for all the courses through a centralized National level Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP). The CCPP is spread over a month, wherein students from all classes across India participate. We try to attract the maximum number of companies to the campus to provide job opportunities to the students. While the entire process is governed by the student’s ability and performance, as well as the IT industry's requirements and norms, C-DAC catalyzes the process and assists the students in their placements.

Will my higher secondary or graduation Scores affect my chance of placement?
Yes, to a certain extent. Students having good scores in academics and C-DAC courses, stand a better chance to get shortlisted for top companies.

Not all organizations have criteria. Companies shortlist a candidate on various parameters, including the scores in the C-DAC course.

On average, the salary package ranges from 4.5L to 8L. Around 10% of the companies offer 10L-13L packages and another 10% offer 8L-10L packages.

When does the Placement Activity Begin?
Every year, the placement activity starts in the first/second week of February and August for the batches commencing from August and February respectively.


C-DAC CAT Eligibility Criteria

Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc Engg / AMIE / DoEACC B Level) in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical / Instrumentation.

OR

Post Graduate Degree in Engineering Sciences with corresponding basic degree (e.g. MSc/MS in Computer Science, IT, Electronics)
