Is there a separate formula for postgraduate CGPA to percentage conversion?

 At Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the CGPA to percentage conversion formula is generally the same for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses under the CBCS system:

Percentage=CGPA×10\text{Percentage} = \text{CGPA} \times 10

Key Points for PG Courses

  1. No separate formula: The same 10-point scale and credit-weighted CGPA calculation apply.

  2. Grade Points: PG courses also follow the same grade-to-point mapping (O = 10, A+ = 9, etc.).

  3. Credit Weighting: Each course’s credit counts toward the CGPA just like in UG programs.

  4. Rounding: Sometimes, minor rounding differences may appear in the official mark sheet, but the underlying calculation is identical.

Summary: PG students do not need a separate formula. As long as the CGPA is correctly calculated from course credits and grade points, multiplying by 10 gives the percentage.
